What is The Bridge?

"The Bridge" is the youth group of West Allis Wesleyan Church.  All teens from junior high through high school are welcome to participate.  Not only will they be provided with bible training and spiritual guidance, but we do some fun things!

From attending retreats, conventions, ski trips and camping (to name a few), our program is designed to give the youth an opportunity to provide services to the community in an effort to reach our vision of outreach, evangelism and servanthood.

Our Philosophy of Ministry

Our philosophy of ministry begins with these four beliefs:

  • Do everything with a purpose

  • Every teen has great potential

  • Behind every behavior is a need

  • Students will live up to your communicated expectations every time

Our other beliefs about youth ministry include:

  • Youth ministry is a process, not a product

  • Direction is more important than pace

  • Relationships are the keys to reaching teenagers

  • Teach the truth

  • If students are teachable, they will learn

  • People cannot understand truth unless God enables them

  • Teach, test and solidify learning through real-life experiences

  • Together, everyone achieves more (TEAM)

  • Be accountable

  • Be teachable

  • Practice humility and being real

  • Understand youth culture in order to contextualize, but not compromise the Message

Youth Prayer Requests:

We pray for guidance of our youth - that God may touch each of their lives in whatever way they need.
